With over 300 translations of the original Italian novel, Pinocchio has fascinated children and adults alike throughout the world for generations.

The third in the most translated books is Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince, with about 300 translations. The Little Prince is a short novel about an immigrant from another planet who forms close friendships and negotiates grief. This is the kind of book that is different from reading as a child than as an adult.

For the past few years, Pinocchio and the Little Prince have been competing for the title of “the world’s most non-religiously translated book. However,, the rankings can change at any time.
